In supported self-build, the customer builds the heater themselves with the parts, the drawings and the workshop’s assistance. This photo shows the decisive stage: positioning the ceramic heat-storage column, stacked element by element above the firebox and strapped while the mortar sets.
The heater sits between the stone jambs of an existing fireplace, whose mantel was propped with a timber beam during the works. The firebox, still in its protective film, is already connected.
