The round Swedish heater — kakelugn in its country of origin — is a cylindrical column clad in glossy white stove tiles, standing on a moulded base and topped by a cornice of the same design. It is one of the few types of masonry heater whose shape is a historic standard rather than a bespoke design.
The footprint is small for the mass it carries: the height does the work. The firebox door, still protected here by its site cardboard, opens on the front in the lower third.
Assembled in 2011.
