This is THE workshop’s first heater — built in Époisses for an acquaintance who was the first to place their trust in us. It is built in small firebricks, the most time-consuming bond to lay, but the one that allows free forms and thin walls.
Its particularity lies in the flue path: the circuit passes through two rooms, so the mass heats both sides of the partition instead of radiating into a single room. A heated bench extends the base. The firebox is closed by a Brunner HBO GOT 20 cast-iron door.
The project was carried out in partnership with the customer, who was present during the build — an approach the workshop has since formalised under the name of supported self-build.
